The St. Maries: Five Bedrooms, Two Floors, and a Home That Grows With Your Family

Some floor plans have a lot of bedrooms. The St. Maries has a lot of bedrooms and a layout that actually makes them work together without anyone feeling like they are on top of each other.

At 2,326 square feet across two floors, this is our most room-dense plan. Five bedrooms, two and a half baths, a 10x19 upstairs loft, and a main floor that opens up in ways you do not expect the moment you walk through the front door.

Take a virtual tour.

A main floor built for living

A long hallway leads you from the front entry into the heart of the home. By the time you reach the great room, you understand what this plan is doing.

The great room measures 19x15. That is a genuinely large main living space, wide enough for a sectional, a coffee table, and still room to move around without navigating furniture. It flows naturally into the dining area at 11x15, which is one of the more generous dining spaces in any plan we build. A big table fits here. The kind that seats everyone at Thanksgiving without anyone eating in the living room.

The kitchen sits at 11x16 with a walk-in pantry and a coffee bar alongside it. Counter space is real and functional. The patio door off the dining area opens to the backyard, giving the main floor that natural indoor-outdoor connection buyers appreciate the moment they stand in it.

The master suite: private and purposeful

The master bedroom sits at 15x13 on the main floor, tucked away from the entry and separated from the secondary bedrooms upstairs. The master bathroom includes dual vanities, a walk-in tile shower, and vinyl plank floors as standard. The walk-in closet sits just off the bedroom before you reach the bath.

Having the master on the main floor while the kids are upstairs is not a coincidence. It is one of the most appreciated features of this plan for families with older children who want genuine separation between the parents' space and everyone else's.

Bedroom five: the flex room on the main floor

Bedroom five sits at 10x11 just off the entry on the main floor. Like the flex room in the Shoshone, this is a space that adapts to whatever your household needs. Home office. Guest room. Playroom for younger kids. It sits close enough to the main living area to feel connected but separate enough to function independently.

For families who need a dedicated workspace at home, this room is often what closes the deal on the St. Maries.

The upstairs: where the kids actually want to be

This is where the St. Maries earns its place in a category of its own.

Three bedrooms sit upstairs, bedrooms two, three, and four, ranging from 10x11 to 11x12. Each one is a proper room with real closet space. The full bath upstairs serves all three bedrooms without the main floor bathroom ever entering the picture.

But the real story is the loft.

At 10x19, the upstairs loft is not a landing at the top of the stairs. It is a secondary living space. Big enough for a sectional and a TV setup. Big enough for a gaming area or a study space. Big enough for teenagers to actually want to hang out up there instead of migrating to the main floor.

And here is the detail worth knowing: the upstairs gathering space does not stack over any downstairs sleeping areas. Late nights up there stay up there. That is not an accident. It is a layout decision that makes a real difference for families who have lived in homes where it worked the other way.

Our team has experienced this firsthand. Having an upstairs living area is genuinely valuable as kids enter their teenage years and want a space away from mom and dad. The St. Maries delivers that without sacrificing anything on the main floor.

The garage: more than it looks

The standard two-car garage at 20x23 is sized deeper than most. That extra depth gives you meaningful storage options without paying for a full RV bay upgrade. Boats, motorcycles, a workbench setup, seasonal storage. It all fits better than you might expect.

For buyers who want even more, a tandem garage option creates a dedicated space for a workshop or serious storage without the full footprint of an RV bay. It is one of the most practical upgrades on this plan and one the team consistently points buyers toward.

What is included as standard

Every St. Maries comes with 3cm granite slab countertops, stainless steel appliances, a tankless water heater, high-efficiency furnace, and central air. These are not entry-level finishes dressed up with marketing language. They are the features that make a home comfortable and efficient from day one.

Popular upgrades worth knowing about

Tandem garage. The deeper garage configuration creates a dedicated workshop or serious storage space without committing to a full RV bay. Consistently one of the most popular additions on this plan.

Gas fireplace. A great room this size is a natural fit. Add a stone surround for the kind of statement that anchors the whole main floor.

Covered rear patio. The patio door off the dining area invites you outside. A covered patio turns that into a true outdoor living space that works through an Idaho summer and well into fall.

Is the St. Maries right for you?

This plan tends to resonate with growing families who need five bedrooms without the home feeling stretched thin, families with older kids who want their own upstairs territory, buyers who work from home and need a dedicated main floor office, and anyone who has hosted enough family dinners to know that a dining area that fits a real table is not a luxury.

It is also one of the best plans we build for the long term. The layout that works for a household full of teenagers works just as well when those teenagers become adults and the guest count changes.

Whether you want to move in soon or build from the ground up, our team can walk you through what is available and what is possible.
